Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Specialist to join our Corporate Finance team in Sydney. This role is critical to ensuring the accurate capture, settlement, and reporting of electricity and financial market transactions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Data Validation: Validate and reconcile settlement data to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • System Monitoring: Monitor systems and dashboards, investigating anomalies and coordinating resolutions.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Design and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytical models to support trading and financial performance.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver system enhancements and reporting improvements.

Requirements:

  • A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field, with at least 3 years of experience.
  • Strong skills in SQL, Power BI, and Microsoft Excel (Python, R, or SAS a plus).
  • Experience in back office, settlements, or data analysis (energy, utilities, or financial services preferred).
