Job Description

The role of an Education Support Level 1-range 2 employee is to provide routine support for teachers in a school setting.

This includes assisting with planning student routines, communicating with teachers on routine matters related to students and/or other responsibilities, and supporting communication between teachers and parents.

The successful applicant will also be committed to providing basic physical care and wellbeing support for students such as toileting, meals, and lifting, as well as addressing immediate behavioural presentations relating to specific students within a classroom setting aligned to school policy and procedure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist teachers with planning and implementing student routines
  • Communicate effectively with teachers and parents regarding student needs
  • Provide basic physical care and wellbeing support for students
  • Address immediate behavioural presentations in the classroom
  • Support teachers in coordinating educational programs independently or under minimal supervision
Requirements:
  • Individuals with aptitude, experience and/or qualifications to fulfill the specific requirements of the position
