Role Overview
The Health, Safety & Training Advisor plays a crucial role in fostering a positive health and safety environment while collaborating with various departments to ensure compliance across all operational areas.
- This is a site-based position with a 9-day fortnight schedule.
- A relocation package and/or temporary accommodation will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Health Safety and Training Superintendent in the development and execution of internal health and safety strategies, plans, and policies to enhance business performance and compliance.
- Proactively identify and report potential health, safety, and compliance risks.
- Oversee the site's emergency preparedness and response capabilities.
- Participate in site WHS Committee meetings, work area pre-start meetings, and toolbox discussions.
- Offer guidance, support, and coaching to site personnel as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
- Relevant qualifications in Training & Assessment and WHS.
- Comprehensive knowledge of NSW WH&S legislation and statutory requirements.
- Strong administrative experience along with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with WHC360, Onsite, and SharePoint is advantageous.
- Experience in the mining sector is a plus.
