About the Department:

The Rotamah ward is a 17-bed Midwifery, Paediatric, Palliative, and General Medical ward, providing a diverse mix of patient care requirements. Our skilled nursing and midwifery team, supported by Medical, Allied Health, and Ancillary staff, work together to provide comprehensive care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide patient-centered, compassionate nursing care using evidence-based practice to improve patient care and service delivery.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the unique needs and preferences of each patient.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices and advancements in the field.
Requirements:
  • AHPRA registration and a minimum of 12 months recent acute nursing experience.
  • Excellent clinical assessment skills, with the ability to apply escalation of care principles.
  • A well-developed understanding of discharge planning and transition of care issues.
