Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Operations Reporting team.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for steering the monitoring, triaging, detecting, screening and reporting process to ensure timely and accurate regulatory compliance.
  • This individual will serve as a key point of contact for complex escalations, queue management and service level optimization.
  • Closely collaborating with internal teams across Financial Crime Operations, Group Tech, Retail and Business Banking, as well as external partners such as AUSTRAC.
  • The leader will support their team leaders using Ways of Working tools, contribute insights to risk committees and shape the organization's response to emerging AML/CTF trends.

About You

  • A seasoned leader with extensive knowledge and experience in AML environments, including solid understanding of legislation and reporting requirements.
  • Previous experience in managing large teams across multiple locations is highly desirable.
  • An ideal candidate would have strong communication skills, ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and navigate challenges effectively.
  • Beyond technical expertise, this individual brings heart to their leadership, detail-oriented and able to make smart decisions quickly.
