Job Title: Orthopaedic Care Coordinator

The role of an Orthopaedic Care Coordinator is to provide high-quality support and guidance to patients from the point of referral to the hospital, throughout their care journey, and for a period post-discharge.

This position aims to ensure that patients are fully supported as they undergo care, with seamless access to the Ramsay Integrated Care Strategy. The coordinator will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including preadmission, discharge teams, nursing, allied health, and visiting medical officers (VMOs).

To achieve this, the Orthopaedic Care Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring a positive experience for patients, promoting end-to-end pathways across Ramsay services. Additionally, this role will act as a central resource for the hospital in driving quality improvement initiatives and service innovation at site level, collaborating with other hospitals and corporate teams as needed.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high levels of patient satisfaction, coordinating orthopaedic bed management, demonstrating a strong commitment to quality care and continuous improvement, and maintaining excellent communication with all stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will possess a registered qualification as a Registered Nurse, with a minimum of three years' post-registration experience in specialty areas or relevant advanced practice experience. They will also have demonstrated understanding of scope of practice, experience in continuous improvement initiatives, and proven project management skills with sound organisational and change management abilities.

Key responsibilities include:
