Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Positive Behaviour Support Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our service delivery team, you will provide expert advice and support to clients, families and staff across various programs.

The successful candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of positive behaviour support practices, legislation and frameworks. They will apply this expertise to develop and implement personalised behaviour support plans, ensuring the highest level of disability practice is achieved and maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to clients, families and staff on positive behaviour support principles and practices.
  • Develop and implement behaviour assessments to identify behavioural patterns and develop strategies to improve safety and reduce risks.
  • Liaise with Allied Health professionals to coordinate multidisciplinary approaches for client support.
  • Train and support clients, frontline staff and stakeholders to enhance understanding and implementation of positive behaviour support.
  • Contribute to mandatory reporting on restrictive practices as required by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in allied health professions such as Behaviour Science / Applied Behaviour Analysis, Psychology, Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Social Work or Social Sciences.
  • AHPRA Registration highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering behaviour support services to individuals with complex support needs.
  • Previous experience within Disability, Human Services, Community, Health and/or Aged Care sector/s.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the NDIS and the disability sector.
