Project Leader

A passionate professional is required to lead the delivery of a portfolio of projects in Victoria.

The successful applicant must have a strong industrial automation and controls background, leading a multi-disciplinary project team through the development, installation, and commissioning phases of both large and small projects across different industries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Be a key member of our bid team during the tendering phase on local projects.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to develop design specifications, select equipment and instrumentation, and take designs from the conceptual stage through implementation to installation and commissioning.
  • Coordinate and lead a project delivery team, working with project managers and engineers to resolve design issues, schedule constraints, and commercial challenges to ensure project success.
  • Formulate implementation plans for complex critical equipment installations and cutovers.
  • Be the go-to person during site installation of electrical, controls, and automation equipment, solving design challenges as they arise and coordinating staff to ensure delivery to schedule, budget, and quality.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Hold a relevant Engineering qualification in Mechatronics, Computer Systems, Software or similar (or show equivalent demonstrated experience in industry).
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in delivering engineering projects, preferably either infrastructure or manufacturing related.
  • Be confident on various PLC and SCADA platforms and related industrial and process automation concepts.
  • Have demonstrated knowledge of relevant computer applications including MS Office.
  • Software development experience will be highly regarded.
  • Strong numeric, technical, and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Experience in Industrial/Process Automation will be highly regarded.
