About the Role

We seek an experienced professional to provide expert perioperative care in a dynamic hospital environment.

Shifts are primarily Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend shifts and on-call responsibilities required.

About Us

Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton offers advanced perioperative services with five operating complexes and a central sterilizing unit.

The theatre complex provides pre- and post-operative recovery room care and specialized endoscopic procedures.

The surgical case mix includes orthopaedic, obstetric, gynaecologic, ENT, oral, urology, paediatric, general, bariatric, vascular, spinal and ophthalmic surgery.

Your Responsibilities
  • Achieve optimal patient outcomes through effective continuum of care and patient advocacy
  • Exhibit exceptional clinical expertise in perioperative care, including management of patients during anaesthesia and post-operative recovery
  • Manage post-operative complications effectively
  • Collaborate with nursing teams to deliver exceptional care consistently
  • Stay up-to-date with latest knowledge and skills to ensure continuous professional growth
About You
  • Hold current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions)
  • Demonstrate significant experience within a perioperative setting or possess transferable skills for professional development
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal, communication and clinical problem-solving skills
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Commit to ongoing quality improvement and best practice principles
  • Hold Australian citizenship, permanent residency or have sponsorship eligibility under ANMAC codes
