The successful candidate will report directly to the Editor-in-Chief and be part of a dynamic team that leads our essential news coverage and supports our expanding verticals. They will ensure every story we publish meets our high standards and serves our mission of making news accessible for young Australians.

About The Role

Job Description

We are looking for a senior multimedia journalist with at least 5 years' experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of production skills, including familiarity with Adobe Suite or equivalent.

The successful candidate will be responsible for writing and presenting up to 2x podcasts a week, editing video scripts and final drafts, reviewing and fact-checking breaking news, collaborating with journalists to level up their work, finding primary sources for rapidly developing stories, bringing sharp editorial judgement and attention to detail, and contributing to editorial strategy and workflows.
