About Newman Catholic College
Newman Catholic College is a new co-located college on the James Cook University site in Smithfield, part of the Cairns Catholic Education system. The college has approximately 140 Year 7 students, growing a year level each year until Year 12 is reached in 2027.

The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Teacher with a passion for Religious Education to join our expanding staff in 2025. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting our students' learning journey.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver effective learning and teaching programs in Religious Education;
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the college objectives and planning;
- Evaluate student progress and adjust your teaching methods as needed;
- Maintain a supportive and inclusive learning environment;
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve common goals.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need: To be registered or eligible to be registered with Queensland College of Teachers;
To be fully supportive of the ethos of Catholic Education; A strong understanding of Religious Education curriculum and pedagogy; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.What We Offer
