We're committed to delivering exceptional service to our customers and we need your help to do so. As a Maintenance Mechanic at Kennards Hire, you'll play a vital role in ensuring that our equipment is always in top condition.

About the Role
  • You'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a range of diesel and petrol powered equipment to exacting standards.
  • You'll work closely with our team to ensure that all equipment is properly serviced and maintained, and that our customers receive reliable and fit-for-purpose plant and equipment.
  • You'll perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements, as well as more complex repairs such as engine overhauls and hydraulic system diagnoses.
  • You'll document all work performed, including any repairs or maintenance carried out, to ensure that we have a complete record of our equipment's history.
What We're Looking For
  • A Trade qualified diesel mechanic, diesel fitter, light vehicle mechanic, small engine mechanic, electrician, or similar tradesperson.
  • At least 3 years' experience in the field, preferably in a heavy machinery repair environment.
  • A proven ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, and to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to follow directions, ask questions to ensure understanding, and provide clear information to colleagues.
  • The ability to confidently use computers and mobile devices for email, internet, and basic transactional processing.
