About the Position

Reporting directly to the Technical Services Superintendent at Carborough Downs, this role provides critical technical support for mine design, reporting, scheduling, and engineering projects, encompassing underground mining excavation design, grade plans, and LOM design.

Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to statutory and regulatory requirements, as well as company policies and practices;
  • Maintain strict deadlines for task completion;
  • Develop preliminary and detailed mine designs, incorporating infrastructure and services, mining methods, and mine plans and schedules, ensuring project work meets specified conditions;
  • Collaborate with team members to guarantee goal achievement;
  • Contribute to budget preparation;
  • Execute other duties or responsibilities as directed by the direct supervisor or upline management.

About You

  • At least 5 years' experience working in an underground coal mining environment;
  • Tertiary Mining Engineering qualifications;
  • Proficiency with mine planning software or willingness to undergo training;
  • Outstanding work ethic and attendance record;
  • Dedication to site safety, operational practices, and mine production targets;
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
