Mower Operators Job Description

LD Total is a multi-award winning landscape company specialising in landscape and irrigation design, commercial and residential construction, maintenance and residential lot packages.

We are seeking experienced Mower Operators to join our Maintenance team in the Northern Suburbs of Perth. As a Mower Operator, you will be responsible for maintaining large turf areas using ride on mowers, whipper snippers, and edgers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain large turf areas with ride on mowers, whipper snippers, and edgers.
  • Blow down pathways to ensure safe and clean working conditions.
  • Set up and follow traffic management plans to ensure the safety of our team and the public.
  • Set up a safe workplace by ensuring all equipment is in good working order and that all team members are aware of their responsibilities.
  • Document and report any equipment faults to ensure prompt repair and minimize downtime.
  • Meet timelines and follow a schedule to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Selection Criteria:
  • Landscape maintenance experience and/or trade qualification in Parks & Gardens or Horticulture (preferred but not essential).
  • Experience with ride on mowers, whipper snippers, edgers, blowers, and hand tools (preferred but not essential).
  • Strong commitment to safe work practices and a high level of personal work standards.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work in all weather conditions.
  • First Aid Certificate (an advantage) and Traffic Management Qualification (an advantage).
