About the Role

The Arts Initiatives Support Officer plays a vital role in the delivery of arts programs and events to students and teachers in public schools across NSW. As a key member of the Arts, Sport and Initiatives team, you will provide administrative support and clerical services to ensure the successful implementation of these initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Arts Unit, including coordination of events, programs, and activities
  • Assist in the development and implementation of arts programs and initiatives
  • Collaborate with teachers, students, and other stakeholders to promote arts education and engagement
  • Contribute to the development of reports, documents, and other materials to support the Arts Unit's work
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience working in an administrative or support role, preferably in an education or arts-related setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of organization and time management skills
  • Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's values and policies, particularly in relation to Aboriginal education and cultural diversity
