Emergency Medicine Career Opportunities

We are seeking highly skilled and dedicated professionals to join our Emergency Medicine team at Gosford and Wyong Hospitals.

Gosford and Wyong Hospitals are busy mixed Emergency Departments providing exposure to trauma, Paediatrics, Medicine, and Surgery. Both are well supported by passionate Emergency Physicians who are committed to your development and wellbeing.

We offer opportunities for education, simulation, and structured courses including ACEM's EMC and EMD. Our newly-built state of the art department provides high quality care to around 200 patients each day.

As a Career Medical Officer you will be working as part of a vibrant team of young enthusiastic FACEMs along with a mix of trainees and junior doctors, as well as highly skilled nursing and allied health staff. We value great communication and a willingness to be part of our cohesive team of healthcare professionals.

  • Experience and advanced skills in Emergency Medicine are essential.

The NSW Central Coast is located only 1 hour north of Sydney CBD. Career opportunities are available for JMOs wishing to progress a career in Emergency Medicine or Critical Care Medicine from SRMO to Consultant level.

Key Requirements:

  • MBBS or equivalent currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category.
  • Working towards or completed ACEM Emergency Medicine Certificate or Diploma.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment utilising excellent clinical skills judgment and expertise.
