The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Sous Chef at Atrium. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional culinary experiences to our guests, while working closely with our Senior Chef De Cuisine to ensure the smooth operation of our kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Senior Chef De Cuisine with daily kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and inventory management.
- Lead and coach a team of kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent service delivery.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of kitchen staff, including HACCP procedures.
- Assist with budgeting and financial management, ensuring that kitchen operations are run efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency, ensuring that every dish that leaves our kitchen meets our high expectations.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, prior experience as a Sous Chef in a 4-5 star environment, and demonstrated experience in people management and team leadership. You will also need to have a strong commitment to equal opportunity, ethical practice, and occupational health and safety.
