People & Compliance Manager

This role plays a crucial part in Vista's Australia People Team, supporting the strategic delivery of our people and safety agenda while ensuring high-quality, consistent operational execution across HR and Safety.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head of People & Culture – AUSNZS, participating in forums, approvals, and regional representation as needed.
  • Coordinate local requirements of core processes such as mid-year and year-end performance reviews, talent calibration, engagement actions, and organisational planning for Australia.
  • Drive compliance and governance activities like policy reviews, contract changes, and regulatory obligations.
  • Support preparation and coordination for the Vista Enterprise Agreement renewal and related employee engagement initiatives.
  • Manage employee lifecycle projects including onboarding, offboarding, and case management with the help of HR Advisors.
  • Provide expertise on employment law, risk mitigation, and workplace culture.
  • Guide and support HR Advisors and the Safety Lead to develop their professional capability and decision-making confidence.
  • Lead projects across key areas like engagement, workforce planning, learning, and change.
  • Promote data-informed decision-making through insights, dashboards, and reporting.

About You:

  • You will have 5+ years of experience in Human Resources roles, especially in business partner positions, preferably in a matrixed or global organisation.
  • You will have strong operational HR experience across employee relations, compliance, performance, and lifecycle delivery.
  • You will have a solid understanding of Australian employment law and industrial instruments, with exposure to enterprise agreements highly regarded.
  • You will be an excellent communicator and problem solver, able to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
