Data Engineering Practice Lead

As a seasoned data engineering professional, you will lead our team in designing and implementing cutting-edge cloud-based solutions to drive business growth. With a proven track record of successfully leading data engineering teams, you will be responsible for developing and delivering ETL/ELT pipelines that leverage automated testing, continuous build, integration, and deployment.
You will work closely with our Head of Data Operations & Engineering to establish strong ELT/ETL ingestion frameworks, standards, and templates for consistent delivery. Additionally, you will create CI/CD continuous integration and delivery frameworks for accelerated deployment, physicalize conceptual and logical data models, and maintain and enhance data orchestration and transformation from various sources leveraging cloud data services.
We are looking for an individual who can apply data governance, automated testing, and validation principles to ensure excellent process execution. If you have experience in implementing Data Engineering and DataOps for timely change management and automation adoption, we want to hear from you
This role offers a competitive salary package, including $140,000 per annum, plus bonus opportunities. You will also enjoy additional yearly Well-Being and Community leave days, 14-week paid parental leave, and access to LinkedIn Learning courses through our great Learning platform.
About You- A proven track record of successfully leading data engineering teams.
- Strong knowledge of cloud data platforms and well-architected frameworks.
- A high proficiency in CI/CD delivery.
- Strong understanding of data engineering practices, techniques, and associated data governance principles in terms of data sharing and accessibility.
- Successfully delivered sustainable DataOps outcomes.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to build and motivate high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
