We are a well-established Australian company seeking a skilled coatings specialist to join our team.

Job Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for applying paint and varnishes to decorate using different brushes, rollers, and assist with spraying paint.

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply various types of paints, including acrylic, oil-based paints, weather shield paint, water-based, and glossy paints.
• Apply the final coat of paint as required.
• Safeguard the painting area from damage by laying drop sheets, plastic sheets to protect adjacent areas from paint splattering, and applying masking tape around windows and glass.
• Secure all openings and spaces between doors to prevent dust from entering or exiting.
• Prepare the site for painting by cleaning, sanding, and removing old paint and wallpapers where necessary.

Requirements:

• Prior experience working commercially as a coatings specialist.
• AQF Certificate III in Painting and Decorating (formal qualifications) with at least 2 years of practical experience.
• Availability to work full-time, 38 hours/week, with flexibility to work odd hours (weekends, early mornings, and late nights).
• A valid driving license and vehicle.
• Willingness to travel across Victoria to perform work in urban and regional locations.
