Senior Mechanical Technician

As a skilled Maintenance Fitter, you will be an integral part of the maintenance team in South Nowra. The role involves working closely with the Maintenance Manager to maintain and improve mechanical equipment while adhering to all Quality and Safety standards and procedures.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to build on the existing company culture, which is highly motivated and engaged.
You will work on various tasks such as carrying out planned and breakdown maintenance of machinery, assisting with assembly and installation of brand new production equipment, fault finding and repairs in time sensitive situations, and completing required paperwork related to breakdowns, safety, and quality.
Key Responsibilities:- Carrying out planned and breakdown maintenance of machinery
- Assisting with assembly and installation of brand new production equipment
- Fault finding and repairs in time sensitive situations
- Completing required paperwork related to breakdowns, safety, and quality
- Recognised Mechanical Trade Qualified (Fitter Machinist, Mechanical, Engineering)
- Previous maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment (FMCG, food production or similar) preferred
- Mechanical fault finding and problem-solving skills
- Welding experience preferable
- Ability to operate general workshop machine tools E.g. Lathe, mill, drill
