Nurse for Interventional Radiology

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is seeking experienced Nursing professionals to work in Interventional Radiology, relocating to Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Job SummaryThis role requires providing direct and indirect patient care through the application of evidence-based nursing procedures and practices to patients of all ages on assigned nursing units. The nurse will demonstrate competency in behavioral, growth, development, and psychosocial needs of patients being treated.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities- Conduct timely patient admissions and ongoing assessments, updating the plan of care based on individual patient needs
- Provide direct care and evaluate outcomes, incorporating principles of family-centered care
- Monitor and document patients' conditions and effectiveness of care and interventions
- Assess educational needs of patients and significant others considering cultural needs and other special concerns
- Deliver teaching and educational materials to the patient and/or significant others as appropriate
- Validate and document patient and family understanding of teaching
- Administer prescribed medications in accordance with approved policies and protocols, utilizing barcode scanning
- Carry out prescribed treatments in accordance with approved policies, protocols, and educational material procedures
- Demonstrate commitment to providing evidence-based practice care by adhering to protocols for the care of patient populations, reporting needed changes in practice supported by evidence, and participating in evaluating patient outcomes utilizing evidence
- Delegate appropriate components of the nursing care plan to other members of the nursing team
- Maintain confidentiality regarding patient and family information by promoting professional interdisciplinary communication
- Respect Patient Rights and demonstrate behaviors of a Patients' First Philosophy
- Incorporate the CCAD Professional Practice model and patient safety principles into clinical practice
- Report errors and near-misses
- Complete charge capture education and in-service training for their Institute within CCAD
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification required
- Minimum three (3) year curriculum in Nursing from an accredited program required
- Associate Degree Nurses from North America with evidence of passing the National exam required
- Minimum of two (2) years post-graduate experience in an Intervention Radiology setting required
- Valid and current national license required
- BLS from AHA or equivalent organization, or obtained within 3 months of employment
- ACLS relevant to area of specialty from AHA or equivalent organization, or obtained within 6 months of employment
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Experience with electronic medical records strongly preferred
- Ability to speak and write in Arabic preferred
