
Surgical Care Professional

We seek a skilled Surgical Care Professional to join our Perioperative Day Surgery Unit at Armidale Hospital.
This role involves supporting patients during admission and discharge for surgical procedures, focusing on people rather than processes.
The unit emphasizes teamwork, collaboration, and high-quality care, offering opportunities to build skills in a dynamic perioperative environment.
Shifts are 8 hours across the week and weekends, with hours spanning 7am–6:30pm.
You will be working in a state-of-the-art facility opened in 2018, designed with modern equipment and a supportive environment for staff and patients.
About You:As a proactive and compassionate nurse, you thrive in a team-based, fast-paced environment.
You bring strong time-management, clear communication and a collaborative mindset, and demonstrate initiative, punctuality and respect in your day-to-day practice.
You're eager to learn and grow, with knowledge of or willingness to develop skills in ACCORN, AS5369, GENCA and infection-control principles.
Flexibility to work 8-hour shifts across weekdays and weekends is essential.
Essential Qualifications:- An Enrolled Nurse (Medication Endorsed where applicable) with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA.
