Maintenance Planner

About the Role:

Norton Gold Fields is seeking a skilled Maintenance Planner - Heavy Equipment to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating the maintenance of our heavy equipment fleet.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement long-term and short-term maintenance plans for heavy equipment
• Ensure all necessary parts are on hand to meet plan compliance
• Order parts as required and ensure compliance with relevant statutory requirements and health and safety regulations
• Conduct regular inspections of work areas to identify hazards, damages, and defects
• Develop and distribute weekly/monthly maintenance plans to ensure organized workflow
• Ensure compliance with planned maintenance schedules and servicing requirements
• Enter all maintenance activities into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Regularly inspect tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working order
• Manage the allocation of parts to work orders efficiently and responsibly
• Review work tasks and identify opportunities for process enhancement
• Maintain open communication with direct supervisor and team members

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of experience in a maintenance planning role or similar
• Trade qualified with AUR30999 Certificate III in Automotive mechanical or comes from a mechanical background
• Previous experience with CMMS, ideally AMT, Excel, Pronto or similar ERP software
• Current, unrestricted Western Australian Class "C" Driver's Licence
• Strong commitment to safety and team player
• Good understanding of heavy equipment maintenance principles and practices
