Electrical Systems Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical and control systems, with experience in design, development, and implementation of complex systems.

About the Role

  • Evaluate and develop electrical and control systems designs from concept to detailed engineering deliverables.
  • Prepare electrical and instrumentation designs and calculations in accordance with relevant standards.
  • Design control system software, including PLC and SCADA.
  • Develop industrial communication system designs with a sound knowledge of IP Networks.
  • Program languages such as C, C++, .NET, Python.
  • Configure and commission electrical (protection devices, VSD's, Instrumentation) and control systems.
  • Manage and own electrical design projects.
  • Provide technical review and advice to the engineering team.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering.
  • 6+ years of multidiscipline Engineering experience in the mining and resources sector within Australia.
  • Proven experience as a design electrical engineer able to produce calculations and design documentation.
  • Practical experience working in construction, commissioning and/or operations in the bulk materials and minerals processing industries.
  • Exposure to Control Systems in SCADA, PLC and RTU Platforms.
  • Good presentation and communication skills at all levels.
  • Awareness and collaboration across multiple disciplines.
