Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving category growth, constructing commercially balanced ranges, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the success of our global markets. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing commercially relevant product strategies to drive sales and profitability
  • Liaising with senior stakeholders on long-term product planning and ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of local and overseas market trends to inform range development and buying decisions
  • Coordinating all areas of the buying process to ensure timely delivery and maximum sales potential
  • Analyzing sales and market data to inform commercial decisions and optimize department performance
  • Providing leadership and guidance to junior team members to enhance their skills and contribute to the success of the Buying team

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Buyer or 2+ years' experience as a Senior Buyer, preferably in the dress category
  • Exceptional knowledge of fabrics, raw materials, product categories, and garment construction
  • Experience working across international markets and adapting to diverse cultural environments
  • Strong commercial acumen and business judgement, with a proven track record of delivering results-driven solutions
  • Well-developed internal and external stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Fashion Design/Buying (or equivalent)
