Mater Christi Catholic Primary School, a modern and well-resourced school in Western Australia, is seeking an experienced Music Teacher to join its dynamic team.

Salary

This full-time position comes with a competitive salary, estimated to be around $70,000 to $90,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.

Job Description

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop and teach music programs to students from Early Learning to Year Six, oversee the existing Instrumental program, and provide liturgical music for school masses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach music to students from Early Learning to Year Six, incorporating Australian Curriculum standards and child-centered programs
  • Oversee the existing Instrumental program, providing guidance and support to students
  • Provide liturgical music for school masses, ensuring a meaningful and engaging experience for students and staff
  • Collaborate with the Arts Team to develop and implement innovative music programs
  • Coordinate a small Rock Band and Years 3-6 Choir, fostering a love of music among students

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor of Education (Primary) or equivalent qualification
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • A passion for music education, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality programs
  • Current registration as a teacher with the Teacher Registration Board of WA (TRBWA)
