Senior Clinician: Tertiary Level Consultative Services for BPSD Patients

Job Overview

We are seeking a senior clinician to provide high-level consultative services to support staff working with individuals experiencing extreme behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD). The successful applicant will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve shared goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver tertiary level consultative services to NSW public inpatient services caring for people with BPSD.
  • Contribute to the development and operation of statewide clinical consultation and liaison services.
  • Participate in planning and service development to improve patient care and outcomes.
  • Provide expert advice on managing complex cases.
Essential Requirements
  • Registration with the Medical Board of Australia and Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists.
  • Certificate in Old Age Psychiatry and sound clinical knowledge in Old Age Psychiatry.
  • Experience providing clinical consultation/liaison to services caring for people with BPSD.
  • Ability to travel across Local Health District Regions and work effectively in a team environment.
