The Cloud Platforms Team provides innovative solutions with integrated features that enable faster time-to-market and reduced complexity. We value high-quality engineering practices, customer-centric approaches, and scalable architecture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with diverse engineers, architects, and teams to design, develop, test, and implement secure, robust, highly available, and scalable solutions for external cloud platforms.
- Design and implement deployment strategies using scalable, automated continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
- Own all aspects of reliability, collaborate with technical experts, stakeholders, and team members to resolve complex problems until they no longer occur.
- Utilize SRE practices, service level indicators, and objectives to proactively resolve issues before impacting customers.
- Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations from large data sets to drive continuous improvement of platforms.
- Implement infrastructure, configuration, and network as code for applications and platforms.
- Identify opportunities to eliminate toil and automate issue triage for improved operational stability.
- Collaborate globally to identify, analyze, and resolve platform vulnerabilities.
- Promote site reliability engineering best practices within the team and organization.
- Participate in 24x7 on-call coverage following a sun model and perform blameless postmortems (RCAs) as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 7 years of combined experience in SRE, software development, or infrastructure engineering (4 years with an advanced degree in Computer Science or related field).
- 3+ years of hands-on experience building and maintaining cloud platforms on major cloud providers.
- Strong experience implementing, monitoring, and maintaining scalable Data Services platforms on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Proficiency in monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, or Dynatrace, as well as cloud-native tools like CloudWatch & CloudTrail, Azure Monitor, and Log Analytics.
- Experience with Databricks, RDS, or OpenAI platforms.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language like Python, Java/Spring Boot, and .Net; 5+ years of applied experience in Python/Java.
- Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines with tools like Git and Jenkins, familiarity with using a GitOps model.
- Advanced knowledge of networking (firewalls, DNS, Load Balancing, Proxies, etc.).
- Advanced understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems, including shell scripting.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills (written, verbal, presentation).
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a global team with direct responsibilities and adapting to changes in project scope.
