Manufacturing Specialist Job Opening

The position of Manufacturing Specialist is available in Henderson, WA. This full-time permanent role involves working with a team to ensure the quality and precision of products through laser cladding and manual post-cladding machine operations.

As a skilled Machinist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and precision of our products primarily by laser cladding and manual post-cladding machine works.

The ideal candidate is someone with experience in laser cladding or metal spray technologies. This individual will need to be a self-motivated, adaptable as the job requires, be a team player but also be able to work independently.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and set up machines in the most efficient way to reduce setup times and achieve maximum productivity.
  • Carry out machining of components as per drawings and client's requirements.
  • Monitor and improve tooling parameters as well as cutting conditions on running jobs.
  • Liaise with CAM-Programmer regarding machining processes, machine setups, toolpaths, material properties, current and new tooling.
  • Ensure compliance with all record keeping requirements and complete reports accordingly.
  • Provide feedback to management regarding upcoming, ongoing & completed jobs.
  • Monitor machine performance, making adjustments as necessary to maintain quality.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience with laser cladding or metal spray technologies and proficient with the use of manual lathe operation highly desirable.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical engineering drawings.
  • Relevant trade qualification, preferably additional certificates in CNC-machining and engineering practices.
  • Programming experience using G codes.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to participate within a high-performance customer-oriented team.
  • Adherence to company management and safety systems.
