This is a part-time position available to contribute to shaping the future of mental health and wellbeing in Victoria. The role offers flexible scheduling, with potential for full-time conversion. Residents of Traralgon are welcome to apply.

About the ProgramA key Royal Commission recommendation highlights the crucial role of families and carers in caring for loved ones and the overall functioning of the mental health system. The Mental Health and Wellbeing Connect Centres will be a vital component of the reformed system.
About the RoleYou'll draw on your real-life experience to partner with families, friends, and carers. You'll offer 1:1 support around key areas of challenge, help participants develop tailored action plans, and facilitate network meetings.
Key Responsibilities- Personal lived experience of caring for someone with mental health challenges or psychosocial distress and recovery
- Certificate IV/Diploma in Mental Health or a tertiary qualification in social science
- Demonstrated knowledge of family and caring roles and their impact on carers' health and wellbeing
- Establishing empowering and supportive partnerships with individuals, families, and carers
- Current valid Driver's License and ability to undertake travel
- Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Workers Screening Check
- Right to Work within Australia
- Satisfactory National Police Records Check
