Job Title: Environmental Risk Assessment Leader

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead high-level risk assessments across Australia. As our Principal Human Health/Ecological Risk Assessor, you will be a national technical lead, mentoring our team and guiding clients through complex regulatory and scientific challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver detailed human health and ecological risk assessments for contaminated sites
  • Lead the development of Conceptual Site Models (CSMs) and exposure assessments
  • Interpret toxicological, site, and exposure data to inform health/ecological risks
  • Review or prepare site-specific risk-based criteria
  • Advise clients, auditors, and regulators on site management strategies
  • Support business development and proposal writing
  • Mentor and train emerging risk assessors within the team
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need a degree in Environmental Science, Toxicology, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, or a similar field, with a minimum of 8+ years in risk assessment roles. You should have strong technical knowledge of NEPM, CRC CARE, enHealth, and relevant state-based frameworks, as well as experience working on complex industrial or contaminated land sites.
