About the Role:

Mars Recruitment is partnering with a reputable mid-tier accounting firm to find a driven and capable individual to join their team as a Senior Auditor.

Job Summary:

The Senior Auditor will play a crucial role in leading audit engagements and ensuring the delivery of high-quality audit services to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead audit engagements, ensuring quality and compliance with firm standards.
  • Manage client relationships and prepare budgets and cash flows.
  • Evaluate clients' internal controls and prepare audit programs.
  • Review financial statements, tax returns, and documentation for accuracy and adequacy.
  • Suggest tax planning strategies and break down complex tax returns for staff accountants.
  • Summarize engagements, draft reports, and manage routine client correspondence.
  • Coordinate the review process and resolve auditing and accounting issues.
  • Keep team members informed of engagement progress and consult on problem areas.
  • Oversee billing processes and manage weekly workflow for intermediate accountants.
  • Provide guidance and development opportunities for intermediate accountants.
  • Participate in manager and team meetings, ensuring all correspondence and advice are properly documented and approved by the engagement director.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Must hold a CA qualification with a minimum of 3 years of audit experience, preferably in a top 30 firm.
  • Strong understanding of auditing standards, financial reporting, and internal control frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and senior management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and audit software - Case Ware is advantageous.
