Support Worker Role Overview

Suncare provides innovative, personalized in-home care and support services. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer experiences.

This is a rewarding community-based position where you will be supported by engaged managers and have ongoing training and development opportunities. You will work with customers who are living at home, either independently or with family, providing support with daily tasks, personal care, and social activities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering personal care and household domestic assistance
  • Accompanying customers on shopping trips, appointments, and community activities
  • Providing general companionship and helping build social networks

Hours of work are typically Monday to Friday between 7am and 7pm. For your set fortnightly roster, please share your availability and preferred hours.

About the Ideal Candidate

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual who shares our values of innovation, inclusivity, and respect. A background and qualification in community services is advantageous, but not essential. What's most important is your attitude, alignment with our values, and ability to listen and understand what our customers need.

As a Support Worker, you will require physical fitness, a valid driver's licence, and willingness to use your own vehicle for work purposes (with appropriate insurance). A Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) and CPR/First Aid certificates are also required.
