Aquatics Team Member Role

Our organization is seeking a dedicated Aquatics Team Member to contribute to the success of our Aquatics Centre. This role involves working closely with our experienced team to deliver high-quality swim programs, build relationships with customers, and create a positive and inclusive environment for all ages and abilities.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of aquatic programs, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. As an Aquatics Team Member, you will have the opportunity to acquire new skills, build lasting relationships, and make a real difference in the lives of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Aquatics Specialist in planning, delivering, and evaluating swim programs
  • Deliver engaging teaching and assessment activities
  • Build positive relationships with customers through professional and friendly interactions
  • Cover teachers in the water as needed
  • Rostered Learn to Swim shifts on a weekly basis
  • Manage customer feedback and queries in a timely manner

Essential Requirements:

  • Knowledge of national swimming and water safety frameworks
  • Valid Working With Children Check (WWCC)
  • Current CPR certificate
  • Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety qualification
  • Teacher of Infant and Preschool Aquatics qualification
