English and Humanities Teacher

The primary responsibility of the English and Humanities teacher is to develop, implement, and evaluate engaging lesson plans that cater to students from Kindergarten to Year 12. A successful candidate will be responsible for fostering a positive learning environment and promoting student achievement through effective communication and relationship-building.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality English and Humanities lessons to students in primary and high school settings.
  • Promote student engagement and motivation by establishing strong relationships with students, parents, and the community.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum that aligns with educational standards.
  • Integrate Aboriginal Cultural Standards into daily practice, ensuring cultural sensitivity and awareness.
  • Provide opportunities for students to achieve their full potential through educational activities and support.

Requirements:

  • Hold Australian or New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid visa with relevant work rights for the duration of the appointment.
  • Obtain a WA Working with Children Check before commencing employment.
  • Consent to and undergo a National Criminal History Check with the Department's Screening Unit.
