This position is ideal for a skilled Tradesperson aiming to transition from hands-on work to instructing the next generation of Hastings Deering Diesel Fitters. This is a permanent full-time role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and update training materials that comply with Hastings Deering Learning & Development standards regarding content scope, detail, formatting, and presentation.
- Ensure accredited training courses adhere to State and Federal Government standards and Registered Training Organisation (RTO) compliance policies.
- Foster a safe, engaging, and open learning environment for our Apprentices.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to ensure a seamless and professional learning experience for students and associated parties.
- Demonstrate flexibility by delivering various courses as required.
- Support the broader Capability team in delivering non-accredited programs and courses as needed.

About You:
A successful candidate will possess experience in:
- AUR31220 Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology (or its equivalent) is preferred. Alternatively, MEM Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (or equivalent) will be considered.
- Relevant post-trade experience in the surface or mining industries, either in a workshop or field service setting. Experience with Caterpillar machine maintenance and repair is highly desirable.
- A genuine passion for sharing knowledge and experience to support the Apprentice learning journey, developing future tradespeople for Hastings Deering and its clients.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable - training will be provided for the right candidate).
- Attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines amidst competing priorities.
- Capability to work independently to achieve training outcomes.
