
Disability Employment Career Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated professional to support individuals with disabilities in achieving their career goals.
This role involves working with clients to understand their needs, developing personalized plans, and providing coaching to help them build confidence and skills.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working with disability advocates, understanding social justice and human rights, and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Individual Advocacy: Providing direct support to participants, identifying and addressing systemic issues, and ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Systemic Advocacy: Analyzing and reporting systemic barriers to employment, and collaborating with stakeholders to develop solutions.
- Case Management: Managing a caseload, prioritizing tasks, and meeting program guidelines.
- Experience: Proven track record working with disability advocates, understanding social justice and human rights.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders, and proficiency in data management systems.
- Knowledge: Expertise in disability sector, including IEA (or DES) and NDIS programs, and relevant legislation.
- Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in Human Services, Social Work, or Community Services, or equivalent experience and training.
