About Our Community Carer Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Community Carer. This rewarding role involves providing high-quality care and support to older people in their own homes, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a safe and comfortable living environment through domestic duties such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
  • Provide social support and companionship, including accompanying clients to appointments and activities.
  • Offer personal care to promote physical and emotional well-being, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support clients in pursuing their interests and passions, and encourage them to engage in activities that bring joy and fulfillment.
  • Monitor the health and wellbeing of older people, reporting any changes or concerns to ensure their safety and receive necessary assistance.
Requirements:
  • A minimum qualification of Certificate 3 in Aged Care or Individual Support (Ageing), with relevant experience an advantage.
  • Passion for delivering person-centred care and promoting independence.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Reliability, patience, and adaptability to meet diverse needs and preferences.
  • A full driver's licence and reliable registered vehicle, with the ability to travel to client homes.
  • Current Police Clearance (less than 6 months) and First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
  • It is recommended that you have 2 COVID vaccinations and an up-to-date Flu vaccination.
