This is a crucial leadership position within the department, focused on driving curriculum focus and supporting the transition to the Australian Curriculum Version 9 (AC v9).
The successful applicant will have a strong understanding of working in low socio-economic primary schools, with a determination to work with the community to overcome barriers to learning.
- They will be experienced in engaging with Reading through the Australian Curriculum resources and modules, as well as using Equity and Excellence priorities to positively impact teaching and learning.
- The role will require a focus on systematic synthetic phonics, particularly in the early years of schooling, and leading the curriculum focus in line with school and departmental initiatives.
- Key responsibilities will include participating in delivering the transition to AC v9, collaboratively developing the quality of teaching and learning, and nurturing positive relationships between students, teachers and stakeholders.
This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of teaching and learning at Waraburra State School, working closely with the leadership team, teaching staff and support personnel to achieve excellent outcomes.
