Centacare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family and Relationships Practitioner to join our team in Albury. As a key member of our team, you will deliver therapeutic interventions for children, youth, and adults, including parent education, intake, and counseling services.
About the Role:
The Family and Relationships Practitioner will provide a range of therapeutic interventions for children, youth, and adults, including parent education, intake, counseling services, and work within schools if desired. We are looking for candidates with a passion for supporting children, adolescents, and their families, as well as excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to work autonomously.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver therapeutic interventions for children, youth, and adults, including parent education, intake, and counseling services.
- Work within schools if desired.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, families, and community partners.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of programs and services that support children, youth, and families.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in Counselling, Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, or Mental Health Nursing.
- Demonstrated experience in a wide range of counselling theory and practice across the lifespan.
- Knowledge of issues leading to family dysfunction, family breakdown, child abuse, family and domestic violence, homelessness, and unemployment.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
