We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Environmental Hydrographer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a global leader in scientific testing, providing comprehensive testing solutions to clients across various industries.

About the Role:

This is a diverse and challenging role that involves fieldwork, data management, client liaison, and project management responsibilities. As a Senior Environmental Hydrographer, you will be responsible for collecting and verifying environmental data using specialist software packages and scientific instruments. You will also assist in the upgrade of old and installation of new environmental monitoring stations, including the use of hand and power tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and verify environmental data using specialist software packages and scientific instruments.
  • Assist in the upgrade of old and installation of new environmental monitoring stations.
  • Conduct routine visitation and maintenance of remote environmental monitoring sites.
  • Accurate record keeping, including field notes, photographs, and maps.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve project goals.

Requirements:

  • Proficient in the use of hand, power, and pneumatic tools or willingness to learn.
  • Environmental science or trades qualifications and/or experience.
  • A proactive mindset, able to work independently and cooperatively.
  • Physically fit with an affinity for working outdoors, competent swimmer.
  • Electronics/mechanical aptitude.
  • Computer literacy (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Manual driver's license.
