Job Title: Senior Associate Environmental Scientist

This is a challenging role for an experienced ecologist to lead our Queensland and Northern Territory ecology team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • We are looking for a candidate with the ability to plan, execute, and deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong stakeholder management skills and be able to build trusted relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • The successful applicant will contribute to business development by preparing compelling proposals and identifying opportunities for growth.
  • Expertise in ecological management legislation and threatened species is essential.
  • The role involves conducting field-based ecological assessments, including flora and fauna surveys, vegetation mapping, impact assessments, permitting, and long-term monitoring.
  • The successful candidate will work on projects ranging from local infrastructure to major state-significant developments.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A degree in ecology or a related discipline is required.
  • At least 10 years of experience in ecological consulting or a similar field is necessary.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage stakeholders effectively are essential.
  • The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
