Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Cook to join our team in Queensland. The successful candidate will assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of high-quality meals for our residents.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience working in commercial catering or Aged Care and someone that is passionate about assisting our residents with their daily needs.

This role involves menu planning, catering management, ordering, quality service delivery, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will work closely with the Chef and/or Chef Manager to ensure production and delivery of high-quality meals.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining clean and hygienic work practices, ensuring the correct and attractive presentation of meals, and contributing to the exceptional taste of meals by preparing, cooking, and seasoning meals to residents' satisfaction.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience in Aged Care (preferred)
  • Qualification (Cert III/IV in Commercial Cookery) and/or experience working as a Cook in Aged Care would be advantageous but not necessary
  • Understanding of special dietary needs
  • Exceptional customer service mindset
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
