Job Overview

This role offers a unique opportunity to join our Site Capital Projects delivery team and contribute to the execution of various portfolios of Site Capital Projects at Albemarle's Kemerton Plant.

The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues in manufacturing, process technology (PT), HSE and other functional groups to deliver safe, quick and cost-effective scopes work pack delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop, manage and execute Site Capital Projects at Albemarle's Kemerton Plant.
  2. Work closely with colleagues in manufacturing, process technology (PT), HSE and other functional groups to deliver safe, quick and cost-effective scopes work pack delivery.
  3. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with all ALB standards, codes, and specifications.
  4. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including contractors and vendors.
  5. Communicate project progress and status to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
  6. Manage project budgets and resources, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  7. Conduct site visits to assess project progress and identify potential issues.
  8. Develop and implement corrective actions to address project issues and ensure safe delivery.
  9. Foster a positive HSE culture and promote a culture of safety among team members.
  10. Maintain accurate and detailed records of project activities, including progress reports and meeting minutes.
Requirements
  • 7 years experience in a high risk chemical manufacturing or similar environment.
  • Experience in project scope delivery, in a petrochemical plant or similar industrial environment.
  • Experience within multi-discipline engineering environments.
  • Experience of brownfield execution, working as a Project Engineer or construction representative in a petrochemical or industrial manufacturing environment with a progressive demonstration of experience on capital projects in all stages/phases. It is preferred that the experience is a mix of time in the office as well as time in a plant or manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with the relevant stakeholders, exhibiting patience, flexibility, and adapting to changing circumstances with grace and elegance.
  • Exposure working in the owner's team and/or large EPC organizations is highly regarded.
  • Exposure of working previously on the Kemerton Lithium plant is desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to work fast paced, in a reciprocal environment.
