Data Governance and Integrity Specialist

The Department for Health and Wellbeing is seeking a highly skilled Data Governance and Integrity Specialist to join its Commissioning and Performance team. This full-time, term contract position offers a competitive salary of $85,790 - $95,413 per annum.
About the RoleThis role plays a critical part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data captured in South Australia public and private hospitals and associated facilities. The successful applicant will be responsible for coordinating and delivering Data Governance and Integrity activities for designated data assets, including data validation, user support, and maintaining data integrity.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying and maintaining data aligned with quality assurance standards to ensure accurate departmental and national statutory reporting
- Chairing EDA Community of Practice meetings to foster relationships with users across LHN and Statewide medical service sites
The ideal candidate will have strong subject matter expertise and excellent communication skills. They will operate as a subject matter expert for assigned primary and secondary data assets, such as Admitted Patient Care, Emergency Department, Non-Admitted Patients, Sub-Acute, Elective Surgery, and Safety Learning Systems.

The team works closely with stakeholders across the health sector to drive improvement and achieve better outcomes.
