Purchasing leaders are responsible for overseeing procurement activities within assigned categories.
- Manage day-to-day procurement operations to optimize results and efficiency.
- Develop strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate better pricing and lead times.
- Collaborate with commercial teams to forecast demand and support strategic planning.
- Assist in reviewing pricing agreements and reporting on supplier performance metrics.
- Contribute to process improvements and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain accuracy and integrity of procurement systems and support the development of enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a procurement or purchasing role.
- Certified in procurement and supply management (CIPS Level 4) or equivalent certification.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong organizational skills and commercial awareness.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with ERP systems.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute to business growth.
