Head of Software Engineering Role

At Vocus, we're seeking a talented and innovative leader to drive performant, scalable, and forward-thinking software solutions across digital ecosystems.

The Opportunity

This pivotal role will challenge your technical expertise and leadership skills. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver software solutions that meet strategic goals and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive innovative software solutions and act as a thought leader in the digital space.
  • Analyse business development requirements and evaluate external providers' proposals to determine their suitability.
  • Oversee project planning, sizing, and scheduling for systems development projects.
  • Negotiate the terms and conditions for the purchase and use of software.
  • Cultivate a world-class development facility that can accommodate varying workloads.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in IT or project delivery.
  • 7+ years' experience with the Salesforce platform.
  • 5+ years managing software teams (desired).
  • A solid understanding of business needs and customer focus beyond technical aspects.
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management.
  • Strong ability to converse with end-users and IT employees at all levels.
  • Expert knowledge of software development lifecycle.
  • Technical knowledge of programming, system design, IT infrastructure, and database concepts.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
