Principal Transport Planner/Team Leader

About the Role

We are seeking a Team Leader/Principal Transport Planner to join our team in Melbourne. As Team Leader, you will provide leadership to ensure alignment with company strategy, initiatives, vision, and culture. You will be the advocate of the business both internally within the organization and externally to clients and professional organizations.

Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Development: Set clear and achievable goals with team members, conduct regular 1:1 catch-ups, and track goal progress.
  • Technical Expertise and Project Execution: Maintain and improve technical standards in Transport Planning, lead project execution, and oversee project management activities.
  • Business Development and Client Relationship Management: Initiate and manage business development opportunities, establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, and review proposals for pricing and approach.

For this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in an engineering or planning field (or equivalent technical qualification).
  • Minimum 8 years of Transport Planning experience in the public or private consulting environment.
  • A broad range of skills covering people management, business development, project delivery, and business management.
