Senior Civil Drafter
Job DescriptionAs a Senior Civil Drafter, you will be responsible for managing large-scale drafting projects autonomously and leading junior drafters within the project team. You will liaise with engineers and architects to prepare and coordinate documentation, and convey complex structural information into drawing formats that can be easily interpreted by builders.
You will also assist the Lead Engineer in preparing preliminary sketch designs from architectural drawings as required, provide training and assistance to junior drafters, and actively contribute to the improvement of the drafting systems. Additionally, you will communicate relevant project information to project leaders and team members as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Relevant TAFE qualification or equivalent
- At least 8-10 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong understanding of Austroads, BCA, and relevant Australian Standards
- Ability to co-coordinate existing and proposed utilities
- Proficient in the use of Civil 3D for drafting major projects
